Mackay's birthday kicked off the beginning spring break for Kyle. We really didn't do much during the week except hang out as a family but come Friday we were off the Kansas City with our friends the Bosemans!! Let me just tell you, we had not had that much fun on a family vacation for a while. Because we went with our friends it was like we were all in college again hanging out only we had kids and had to remember to be a little bit responsible ha ha! We drove down Friday morning and had some Kansas City BBQ for lunch at Oklahoma Joes. Then we found our hotel but couln't check in for a while so we went to a mall to kill time...well while we were there a gang fight broke out so we decided it would be best to leave. We checked into our hotel and then headed over to Coco Keys indoor water park. Playing in the water with the boys was a blast! They had a little kid area with some slides that East loved going down and it was shallow enough we didn't have to worry too much about East. We later switched to the hottub where both the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves again. I swear I have little fish for children. That night we ate dinner at a local place called the "corner cafe" Best. Waitress. Ever. we had named Tabitha. Since we had never been there before she brought us a cinnamon roll at no charge and was just basically awesome! We played catch phrase while in the restaurant (such a great time with the Bosemans) and just had a good time. The next morning we hit a few church sites before we headed back home. We went to the Visitors center and to liberty jail. It was amazing to read about our church history and the many sacrifices that others made. Very humbling. Kyle and I would like to go back and take some tours and learn even more! It was a great end to an amazing weekend and great spring break! We cannot wait for our next family vacation with the Bosemans!!
