Easton turned 5 months old on Sunday. Wow we have a 5 month old. He is pretty much the cutest little boy there ever was. One of my favorite things is to go get him out of his crib in the mornings because when you look down at him he gives you the biggest smile ever. He is such a happy boy. Something funny that
Easton has been doing lately is kicking with both of his feet at the same time. Him kicking and moving his legs like crazy is nothing new but now he has figured out how to wind both his legs up and then smack them both on the ground. This is funny because the other morning as Kyle and I were laying in bed we heard this "thump thump thump" noise. We both looked at each other for a second wondering what is could be then we both smiled and laughed because we new exactly what it was,
Easton was in his crib kicking!! I am sure he was letting us know he was awake. He loves the kick so much that the other night while he was sleeping Kyle and I went to check on him before we went to bed and he started kicking in his sleep. That boy is crazy but we love him. His kicking has hurt him though. We went to Kyle's
parents this past weekend to look for a Mountain Bike for Kyle.
Easton had not taken a good nap that day because we were traveling so he was kind of cranky. Well we got to his parent's house. Vickie took
Easton over to her neighbor's house and let her hold him and I guess as soon as she took him he started crying. So she brought him back to me and still cried. He wouldn't stop screaming. He screamed for like an hour and a half. There was nothing I could do. He wouldn't take his bottle or
bink. Eventually there were no tears and he was just screaming, is was alike a protest scream. I guess more yelling than screaming but it was something he had never done before. I did not know what to do. Kyle calmed him down for a little bit but then he would go back to yelling. Finally we made his bed and put him in it with a bottle. He stopped crying and went to sleep. About 20
mins later Kyle comes up stairs holding
Easton. When I went to see him I noticed his foot was all bloody! We took him to the bathroom and quickly washed it off, which he did not like, and we saw that he had taken a chunk out of his pinkie toe. So I ran down stairs to see if there was something sharp in his pack n play. When I felt around I didn't notice anything until I felt the mesh on the side. I noticed if I rubbed my hand on it enough it was really rough and then the little wholes that made up the mesh were perfect for little toes to get caught in. Well since
Easton likes to kick that's what he did. He kicked so much that he got his toe caught on the mesh and it tore his skin. I have a feeling that we have a wild man on our hands. He is a good boy though. His toe is healing nicely though so no worries.
Easton went on his first bike ride the day he turned 5 months old. We bought a bike trailer for him and he loves is. They say they should be a year old before you put them in those but we didn't really care because we know how much
Easton loves to be
outside. Plus he is so good at holding himself up that we were not worried about him falling over. We rode for like 5 miles and he ended up falling asleep. But he did great. So that is our new family thing, we go on bike rides!! We are now looking for a helmet for him. He is still a little too small but we thought better to be safe than sorry.

Well at 5 months
Easton is now eating baby food, once a day still. We are working on sitting up. He can hold himself up just fine leaning against something but when trying to sit him up by himself with nothing to help him he just
collapses forward its so funny. When I try to sit him up in his
boppy he just arches his back and scoots himself down. We will get it soon though. Hopefully within the next month we will have a baby that sits up. With the way he is on the floor rolling around it is possible we might have a crawler before a sitter
upper. Who knows though.

He is rolling around like crazy now. If you turn your head for just a minute and then look back at him he might be at the other side of the room. He loves to roll on the floor. It is funny though because sometimes he gets stuck on his stomach, like he forgot how to roll back to his back, and he will get mad and protest about it. When he does that we tell him to roll over and wait a sec to see if he will and if he doesn't then we help him roll. It's funny to watch him roll from his stomach to his back because he does it so fast. He has figured out that all he has to do is drop his shoulder and he rolls. He has rolling from his back to his stomach though down to an art. Sometimes the instant we put him on the floor he rolls to his stomach. At first he hated being on his stomach but now is he starting to not mind playing on his tummy for a while. He is so cute on his tummy because he still kicks and then sometimes he folds his hands so it looks like he is posing for a picture (which reminds me we are going to get some pictures taken soon).
So we are pretty sure that Easton is starting to grow hair now. I was looking at his head the other day and noticed that it is getting more fuzzy. His mullet is also almost gone :( we are sad because he love his mullet. It is weird to think what he will look like with hair because we have never known him with hair. I am excited for it grow though. We also think that he might be starting teething. He drools constantly and it always looks like he is chewing on something but nothing is in his mouth. Also, when we put our fingers in his mouth he chews them now instead of sucking on them. So it is possible our little boy might be getting some teeth soon.
He if finally out of 0-3 months and is wearing 3-6 months. I had been putting him in 3-6 months since he was about 4 months old but now they are really starting to fit him and all the 0-3 months clothes are too small. The onsies are too short and the pants are high waters. We of course love this because we want Easton to grow big a tall like his daddy. Well I guess that's it for now on the update of the East man. We love him so much and we love being parents. It is something special to say you have a family of your own. Right now it is just the 3 of us, in a couple years we will add some more to that number and hopefully not by surprise.
He is so cute! I can't believe how old our babies are getting. Oh and Lizzy is 6 1/2 months and still wearing 0-3 month clothes!
