Before, with his crib mattress on the floor.
After with his new bed!So we moved Easton out of his crib and into a bed. At first we just put his crib mattress on the floor for his bed to make sure he would be ok without a crib. It only took one time of crying for him to be ok with a bed. He did not quite understand the first time we put him down that he needed to stay in the bed and go to sleep. He go up and walked over to the door and stood there crying saying "out". Kyle went back and and tucked him in his bed. Again he got up, so one more time Kyle put him in his bed. He laid there crying for a few minutes and then he was out. Later that night when it was time for bed he knew what to do and went right to sleep, we haven't had a problem since. He has been a great transitioner; we took the bottle away right at a year and he had no problem with that. We just didn't give it to him that day and he was fine. We took his bink away in one night also. Kyle put him to bed with out it, said he only cried a couple of minutes then fell asleep. The next day I put him down for a nap without his bink and he went right to sleep. We are proud of our little man.
So now we have upgraded from his crib mattress on the floor to an actual bed. We found it on ksl for an awesome deal. I bought him some blue and white sheets, a navy comforter, a sport balls nightstand and rug, and a shelf we still need to put up. I had so much fun putting it together and Easton's loves his new bed. He usually tells us when he is tired at night so we walk to his room put him on his bed and he falls backwards on his bed into his pillow. He loves it, and lucky enough he doesn't have a problem falling off, which is a good thing because it is kind of a long ways down. The next big step in becoming a big boy will be potty training however, that will not be for a little while still.
Our little East man growing up, and so fast. I love being a mom it is so rewarding!!
